Beijing Historic Relics

Beijing has a wealth of historic relics and ruins that recall its past more vividly than any history book. Besides those famous World Heritage sites, like the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven, there are many lesser known, but no less historic sites such as the Zhoukoudian ruins of Peking Man, the ruins of the old Summer Palace, the Bell and Drum Tower, the hutong and other preserved places where visitors can gain insight of the 5-thousand-year history of China.
