A new air line between Beijing and Düsseldorf is launched

Air China's CA-963 flight successfully arrived at the Düsseldorf Airport in Germany on the afternoon of March 27 (local time), marking the official launch of the Beijing-Düsseldorf air route.

Harry Kurt Voigtsberger, minister of economic affairs, energy, building, housing and transport in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, expressed his sincere congratulations for the opening of the air route. He said that China is very important economically for North Rhine-Westphalia.
 
The number of Chinese enterprises that have invested in North Rhine-Westphalia has reached 680. The launch of the Beijing-Düsseldorf air route will certainly bring closer economic relations between North Rhine-Westphalia and China.
 
"This is a special moment and we should celebrate," Voigtsberger said.
 
Voigtsberger led a large business delegation to take the first return flight of the Beijing-Düsseldorf air route toward Beijing on the evening of March 27 local time. Voigtsberger said that he had planned the Beijing trip for a long time and it was very important for him to take Air China's direct route to Beijing.
 
Wen Zhenshun, Chinese consul general in Frankfurt, said the launch of the Beijing-Düsseldorf air route is a historic moment for the development of relations between China and Düsseldorf. Wen also said that as a native Beijing local, he envies the passengers who can immediately take the return flight back to Beijing. He also hopes that the passengers can arrive in Beijing safely and in comfort and sends his wishes to Beijing.
 
The Beijing-Düsseldorf route is Air China's third non-stop air route from Beijing to Germany after the Beijing-Frankfurt and Beijing-Munich routes with the flight number CA-963/4. Flights will initially be on every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, and is expected to be also available every Thursday from June.
 
The departure flight took off from the Beijing Capital International Airport at 1:55 p.m. and landed at 6:45 p.m. local time, while the return flight took off from the Düsseldorf Airport at 8:45 p.m. and landed 12:45 p.m. local time.
 
Düsseldorf is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's most populous state. Located on the arterial water and land roads between southern and northern Germany, the city is near the world's well-known Ruhr industrial area to the north, and 30 to 40 kilometers away from Cologne to the south. Düsseldorf is a famous industrial and commercial city in Germany with convenient transportation and an advanced economy.
